STOP BY OUR SALES CENTRE

Talk to our friendly sales team about what you’re looking for in a home. They have a wealth of knowledge as well as brochures, information and home designs. It’s a one-stop-shop to set you on the path to choosing your home, and the homesite to suit. To learn more about the steps to selecting your builder and lot, read our three-step guide to building your first home.

GET YOUR APPROVALS

Once you’ve chosen a builder and home design that suits your needs and budget, you will need both the Design Approval from the Everleigh Design Committee and Building Approval from Logan City Council (Council) or a building certifier before you can commence construction.

Mirvac has developed a streamlined process to ensure you can start building your home as soon as possible.  You can find a step-by-step guide to the approval process on page 6 of the Everleigh Design Standards and Guidelines

In fact, all the information you and your builder will need regarding covenants, lot details and applications can be found on the Building@Everleigh portal, including fact sheets, contract details and technical documents.

STAY IN CONTACT

It’s now time to let the experts do their job, but we encourage all homebuyers to keep open lines of communication with their builder to ensure construction stays on track and that you’re aware of any potential delays.

It’s also a good idea to visit the site regularly with the builder to ensure the work meets expected standards, approved plans and specifications. If you are unable to make inspections, you may consider using a private building consultant to monitor the build on your behalf.

COMPLETION

Your builder will issue a formal ‘Notice of Completion’ and a final inspection should be booked within seven days. This inspection gives the homeowner a chance to have any defects rectified.

Once you’re satisfied with your home, you have seven days to pay the ‘Final Claim’ and then it’s time to collect the keys and pop the champagne!
