Everleigh's First Homeowners

In 2018, young first-home buyers Georgia White and Nathan Byrnes became the first pair to build and move into their four-bedroom home at Everleigh. 

“We decided to build our first property with Burbank Homes at Everleigh because of its affordability, great location and access to amenities,” says Nathan. 

“Over the years, we’ve continued to hear those three reasons from other first-home buyers and families on why they were attracted to Everleigh as well.

“I also grew up in Greenbank and loved visiting the bushland near Everleigh as a kid. So, I knew it would be a great place to bring up children,” he says.

Georgia says it has been surreal watching the community transform from its early days.

“When we first moved to Everleigh, Nathan and I were the only people living here. It’s been such a unique experience seeing the community grow from just our home to close to 700 homesites,” she says. 

“Everleigh now has a range of families and people living here from all sizes and backgrounds. No matter how big the community has become, the residents have remained the same - respectful and welcoming.

As Everleigh's grown, so has Georgia and Nathan's family. The couple welcomed their first, Lucy, now three-years-old, shortly after moving into their home and second, Cali, six months ago. 

“The lifestyle we’ve enjoyed while raising Lucy, and now Cali, at Everleigh, is exactly what we envisioned for our family when we bought our home here,” says Georgia.

“Since Lucy was little, we’ve taken her to many of Everleigh’s free community activities and events, like the playgroup and food truck nights, which have been a great way to make friends and meet new neighbours or local families.

“It’s also been nice seeing Lucy grow up and make friends with other kids from the community.

"We like that she will already have a large group of children she knows when we send her to Everleigh Primary School, which is onsite.

“As a family, we’ve also loved seeing the green spaces and parks take shape over the years and visiting them together in the afternoons or on weekends. It’s exciting knowing there are still more outdoor facilities to come,” she says.
