The final countdown is on, with Everleigh State School set to open its doors to the community of Greenbank and surrounds in Term 1, January 2022.
The new school, located onsite here at Everleigh Greenbank, on the corner of Ivory Parkway and Anderson Drive, will provide education to the growing number of families moving into the region. Everleigh State School will cater to around 700 students from Prep to Year 6, with future plans to accommodate 1400 students.
Introducing Everleigh State School’s principal
Mrs Nicole Wheatley has been named Everleigh State School’s foundation principal after eight years working in the Greenbank area as a deputy principal and head of curriculum.
“My vision for our school, 'Excellence through Equity' will ensure that every student who attends receives the support and resources they need to be successful, life-long learners,” says Mrs Wheatley.
“All community members are invited to attend forums and meetings to help build the best school in the area for our students.”
‘Excellence through equity because we CARE’
The new school motto reflects the school’s focus to bring the community together by ensuring everyone gets what they need to be successful. Students at Everleigh State School are expected to; commit to being a lifelong learner; take accountability for choices and actions; respect themselves, others and the community; and encourage and support each other. These values — commitment, accountability, respect and encouragement — stand for CARE within the new school motto.
