Moving to a brand new community - particularly if you're shifting postcodes - can be a daunting prospect. That’s why at Everleigh, we focus on providing residents with a warm welcome from the moment they move in, so that new faces quickly become new friendships.
We sit down with Everleigh's dedicated community engagement manager, Suzanne Guastini from Enriching Communities Greenbank, to discuss the importance of feeling right at home when moving into a masterplanned community.

Why is it important to have a community engagement program?
We believe making a connection with our residents as soon as possible is the single best way to discover early on what their interests and hobbies are so we can tailor our program to best suit the individual community - and the individuals within it.
The vision we have for Everleigh is to get actively involved with the broader Greenbank neighbourhood and to assist our residents in forming long-lasting connections and friendships – now and into the future.
We will see a lot of people moving to Everleigh at the same time, so it is our goal to help them make new friends, feel connected and most importantly, enjoy a sense of community.
What does Everleigh have in store for its residents?
We have an array of exciting activities lined up at Everleigh, with some already underway for residents to get a head start on making those special connections– even before they move in!
We have already started to see people connecting through a free boot camp run by Dazza Fitness each Saturday and our extremely popular Connect + Chat Coffee Group, along with a free Busy Bees Greenbank Playgroup, sponsored by Everleigh.
As soon as the first residents move in, we will establish a further range of events to suit people of all ages, both in Everleigh and the wider Greenbank community. This will include free business talks, Christmas fireworks with the Greenbank Rural Fire Brigade, meet your neighbour get-togethers, a ladies charity night, and a whole series of active and healthy events to get the whole family involved.
Everleigh’s masterplan is designed with more than 25 per cent of the 481-hectare site dedicated to open space, including conservation parkland, regional sports and recreation parks and a series of neighbourhood and linear parks. This means we have the opportunity to utilise the beautiful surrounds to host a wonderful array of outdoor activities for residents to enjoy – while keeping fit and having fun!
We are looking forward to hosting walking groups, mums and bubs activities, Easter and Christmas activities, movie nights and much more!
Mirvac brings people together exceptionally well – as seen in our Gainsborough Greens community in Pimpama on the northern Gold Coast, where our community engagement program has been a fantastic success for the last five years. We are so proud to have helped people come together who normally wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do so.
